New 8GB AMD GPU

Once I get a system optimized I usually don't follow the hardware forums that much but I have been waiting for the 780ti 6GB to come out to pick up a couple.  In searchin' about I came across this for AMD:

Holy-moley 8GB!  I haven't used an AMD card since I popped in a GTX580 so that was a long time ago in "GPU years".  Not sure which way to go now but my wallet is starting to "twitch", :P

Clutch

Intel i9-12900KF, Asus Prime Z690-A MB, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, (3) SK hynix M.2 SSD (2TB ea.), 16TB Seagate HDD, Gigabyte GeForce 5080 RTX, Corsair iCUE H70i AIO Liquid Cooler, UHD/Blu-ray Player/Burner (still have lots of CDs, DVDs!)  Windows 10, (hold off for now on Win11),  EVGA 1300W PSU
Netgear 1Gbps modem & router, (3) 27" 1440 wrap-around displays
Full array of Bravo, Saitek and GoFlight hardware for the cockpit. Varjo and HP VR headsets for mixed reality.

Would you need 8G for P4DV22 ?

I maxed out at 3920MB once, and usually its around 3333MB with quite a lot of detail, 2048 textures.

An is that not a doubled-GPU/VRAM card, acts like a SLI and you can only see 4G with P3DV22 anyway>?

Yes, exactly this. It is 4GB per GPU, just as it would be with two of 290/290X in crossfire.
