April 29, 201412 yr Commercial Member Once I get a system optimized I usually don't follow the hardware forums that much but I have been waiting for the 780ti 6GB to come out to pick up a couple. In searchin' about I came across this for AMD: http://community.amd.com/community/amd-blogs/amd-gaming/blog/2014/04/08/hail-to-the-king-introducing-the-amd-radeon-r9-295x2?sp_rid=NzI2NzcxMTAxNjAS1&sp_mid=20678607&spMailingID=20678607&spUserID=NzI2NzcxMTAxNjAS1&spJobID=301690512&spReportId=MzAxNjkwNTEyS0 Holy-moley 8GB! I haven't used an AMD card since I popped in a GTX580 so that was a long time ago in "GPU years". Not sure which way to go now but my wallet is starting to "twitch", Clutch Intel i9-12900KF, Asus Prime Z690-A MB, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, (3) SK hynix M.2 SSD (2TB ea.), 16TB Seagate HDD, Gigabyte GeForce 5080 RTX, Corsair iCUE H70i AIO Liquid Cooler, UHD/Blu-ray Player/Burner (still have lots of CDs, DVDs!) Windows 10, (hold off for now on Win11), EVGA 1300W PSUNetgear 1Gbps modem & router, (3) 27" 1440 wrap-around displaysFull array of Bravo, Saitek and GoFlight hardware for the cockpit. Varjo and HP VR headsets for mixed reality.
April 29, 201412 yr Would you need 8G for P4DV22 ? I maxed out at 3920MB once, and usually its around 3333MB with quite a lot of detail, 2048 textures. An is that not a doubled-GPU/VRAM card, acts like a SLI and you can only see 4G with P3DV22 anyway>?
