I'm after some ideas please, I'm asking is it possible to change view, to look around, using some other device than the mouse or TrackIR. I was thinking of a small self cantering joystick that returns to the forward view once I've looked around. I've tried TrackIR but I can't get on with it and I find the mouse too tedious, having to centre it each time.

 

All ideas most welcome please.

This should be pretty simple Phil.

 

As long as Prepar3d recognizes the joystick, you can set the other joystick's POV for pan view.

 

If you have a registered copy of FSUIPC (highly recommended, especially for applications like this!), you can set the joystick axis ranges to pan the view. You can either read the manual and figure it out or I could post instructions on how to set the ranges within FSUIPC when I'm home and have the time to make a little tutorial.
