CFM Engines systems information?

Featured Replies

I'm starting to do a deep dive into the systems and was looking in the FCOM2 for a chapter on the CFM engines...but I was surprised not to find a chapter about the engines. What's the reason Boeing decided to leave this information out of the FCOM2 systems manual? Are they assuming that the target audience already knows about jet engines? Or am I blind and just cannot find it? It should be in the FCOM2 if it exists.

Thanks...

Chapter 7 (7.20) in the Boeing FCOM covers the Engines and APU. It does not relay explain the theory behind a turbine engine if that's what you are looking for but, it explains the various systems and sub systems of the CFM-56.

I was looking for the usual engine systems diagrams and information, which was pointed out to me to be in the APU section of the FCOM2.
