Engine Sound for Kodiak Quest

Featured Replies

Can you use the FSX default C-208 engine sound for the Kodiak Quest in P3DV2.2 and if so how do you go about doing this? Any Help will be appreciated.

I am having trouble understanding your question. The Kodiak requires the sounds from the Caravan, yet you make it sound like it is optional?

How to accomplish? Has the process of copy and paste become a thing of the past?

Thank you Chainsawz for your reply. Sorry for the confusion. I will use the Caravan sound pack.

Did a copy and paste and with the fsx caravan and still no sound???

Had to go back and check!

This is what comes with the plane's Sound.Cfg file;

[FLTSIM]
product_code=FSIM
alias=C208B\sound

changed it to this;

[FLTSIM]
product_code=FSIM
alias=E:\FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\C208B\sound

Notice the last line changes to where the FSX files are. Must remind myself never to remove FSX!!! :lol:

Make a backup copy of the original Sound.cfg file before editing.

or just delete the existing cfg & copy & paste the C208's complete sound folder?
