TU-144, plane keeps flipping on ground after loaded

Featured Replies

Wow, not only is this plane super complex but everything is in Russian. Seems to be an amazing plane to master.

First issue I need to solve before I can even attempt to learn is stop this plane from tipping backwards and rotating into the ground once its loaded. Is there a solution to this?

Also, I don't suppose there is an english pdf manual anywhere to help explain the systems and cockpit?

Thanks for any help.

Aside, seems the TU-154 is a bit more popular, perhaps I should start with that. Meh.

Which Tu-144 model and which simulator? I assume the Tu-144D V2.0 (FS9?) from avsim.su?

There is very basic english manual though, but it involves mostly navigation and startup. Tutorial flight, not anything advanced.

As we do not know what addon you have exactly, it's not easy to troubleshoot. Could be anything from the global classic incorrect installation or wrong fuel/load values.

Tu-144D that is suppose to be for FSX. It says version 3.5.

I'd gladly accept any links to manuals that might help out but first have to stop the plane from spinning after FSX has done programmatically loading it. Not loading as in payload and fuel, I have yet to touch those.

If I remember it correctly from the FS9 version, you can not load 100% fuel in this plane. Try once with 50% and see if the plane still flips. Then you can increase to the maximal possible amount of fuel by try and error.

Sadly, I never managed the Tu-144 back in FS9 days compared to the Tu-154, not many documents available for this bird...

From what I read from that thread there are loads of problems when a westerner is trying to fly this plane, which is understandable as material is scanty. Today I was trying to post a link to a few of the manuals that actually exist for this plane but like always, these greedy websites delete materials way too fast as english documentation for Russian aircraft aren't very often downloaded I guess.

Even for Russians this plane is a burden to fly, and the learning curve is huge not to mention even on the Russian side there's a lot of information that is not clear on this airplane which is not surprising and one of the reasons that I'm not flying the plane despite it's very beautifully modelled. (Real life plane brought nothing but problems to the Soviet Union).

My advise is to learn a bit of Russian as it is a beautiful language, and flying the Tu-134 and Tu-154 which both have beautiful VC's. Tu-154 has an alternate VC that looks better than PT, and easier on frames called vitamin. However, unfortunately it never got completed due to disk crash.
