For those of you who like me are still using Windows XP and for anyone who is not already aware. Microsoft has decided to update XP and IE at least one last time to fix the security issues with IE as well as some OS security issues. These updates are available by the usual method.

Just a word of caution if you are using Windows Security Essentials ( and like it ) on WinXP. Donot include update 4.5.213.0 KB2949787 in your update queue. All it does is turn off MSE so it cannot be used any more. With the older version it still updates the virus signatures... For now.

Thank you for adding that information. I use a different Anti virus so I was not aware of that issue.
