Prepar3d V2: AMD or Intel?

Featured Replies

It's said that I7 Haswell beats AMD FX8350 for the FSX. But what about the Prepar3d v2?

Thanks!

DO NOT GET AMD FOR FSX/P3D. I have an FX8350 and it is AWFUL. Anyone who tells you differently is lying to you probably because they are fan boys.

I have an FX-8350 and its far from awful in FSX or V2. I'm upgrading to Intel but still the FX is a dang good CPU and has served me well for the past year and a half running at 4.5ghz every day. I'm keeping my AMD system for a second computer to eventually help run my home cockpit build.

To the OP wait till Devils canyon releases it'll be much better for overclocking and also make sure you get a Z97 board so it'll be somewhat future proof as new intel CPU's after devils canyon wont work with the Z87 boards I picked up a MSI gaming 7(z97 board) today for $189.
