May 21, 201412 yr Hi guys, Can do something as CDU II panel to be recognized as a USB device and we can assign all the buttons ? CDU II - physical is a device with many buttons and one display 10" (use VGA and USB connection) Tks Today is the most beautiful day of my life...
May 23, 201412 yr Hi Nicutapa I am not sure what you are asking as english is obviously not your first language. If you are asking whether the CDUII is compatible with LINDA then the answer is no. Having built up a good understanding of how LINDA works internally then it would require some considerable effort and development time to add the CDUII to the equipment LINDA can handle. I suggest you use the supplied VRInsight software for now. May 23, 201412 yr Author Thank you for you answer. VRInsight software does not support FMC from MJC Dash Q400 and i wanted to know if there is a possibility as Linda was recognized CDUII like USB device Today is the most beautiful day of my life...
May 23, 201412 yr The CDU comes with a keymapper to allow you to control ANY FMC you care to add support for yourself, some knowledge of panel.cfg editing is required but it isn't too complicated once you know how to do it. In your case you would probably need to use the key to mouse mode of the keymapper and two copies of the FMC gauge from the aircraft i.e. 1 for the display screen (zoomed in just on the screen area) and another tiny copy of the FMC to hide behind the CDU2 keypad (part of the CDU2 LCD screen is hidden behind the keypad) where the keymapper software can virtually convert button presses on the VRi CDU2 to mouse movements and button presses on the hidden majestic FMC keypad. Details are in the manual that is provided on the VRi website download page. http://www.vrinsight.com/devel_shot Of course the layout and button placement of the screen and keypad may not be suitable for your aircraft so its likely only to be an approximation of what you require, the CDU2 is more physically suited to Boeing and Airbus Flight Computers. Cheers, Andy.
May 23, 201412 yr Author After 3 hours, i almost solved . I use default FMC gauge panel from MJC and i managed to asign all buttons via KeyMapper. Right now i can use CDUII without issues with MJC but with default panel from MJC and always must customize FMC window. This is the only problem ! Must figure out how to generate second window... Thanks ANDY :drinks: Today is the most beautiful day of my life...
May 25, 201412 yr Author Hi Andy, Problem solved 99 %. Everything works fine. I have two copies of the FMC gauge, can customize the panel with VRI...ok. Why 99% ? when move the mouse, moving at the same time and FMC panel . For me is not a big problem beacause i dont use the mouse when i fly but do not understand where is conection betwen mouse and FMC panel Tks Today is the most beautiful day of my life...
May 25, 201412 yr I'm not 100% sure what you are saying but as I said the mouse to key mode of the VRi keymapper replicates what you would have to do with your real mouse, so that it can press that button/command on the FMC of the aircraft. Now as you press a button on the CDU2 the software moves your mouse pointer to the button on the FMC you associated it with then clicks the mouse button for you. Cheers, Andy.
May 25, 201412 yr Author Ok. I understand. Thank you for your kindness and sorry for my English  Today is the most beautiful day of my life...

August 2, 201411 yr Hello, I have new version for LINDA. where I can see my CDU 2 in program? I want work with my cdu and PMDG T7
August 2, 201411 yr Linda doesn't support the CDU2 unfortunately. Only the MCP and FCU panels from VRinsight are supported. If you have an iPad or Android tablet there is an awesome app available for the PMDG 777 that lets you use the tablet screen as the FMC. I bought it myself this morning and it works very well. Cheers, Andy.
