February 24, 200521 yr My installation of FS2002 Pro has become unstable lately, possibly from too many add-ons. I've tried to uninstall the program from the Start Menu, from Control Panel, even from CD#1. Everytime, my computer freezes after a while and I get a (not responding) message. Can I just delete the entire FS2002 file from Windows Explorer? I don't know what else to do. Any suggestions would be most appreciated. Thanks.
February 24, 200521 yr Welcome to the forum. Yes, you can just delete the folder as a last resort. But you should uninstall the add-ons first if they have an uninstaller (check in Control Panel/Add and Remove Programs) as that will clean out the add-on Registry entries. There is only one Registry key for FS2002 and you can manually delete it with RegEdit (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator8.0) . February 24, 200521 yr Author Hi,I've had similiar problems with other software in the past. Various tech help desks told me to first INSTAll the program again and then after the installation is finished, you should be able to UNINSTALL it from CONTROL PANEL. Hope this helps.
