Adding GPS approach to FSX GPS-500?

KEYW (Key West) currently has two GPS approaches, one for RWY 9 and one for RWY 27.

 

But they're not available in the stock FSX GPS-500, probably because when FSX was released in 2006, they did not exist.  I've noticed

the same situation for many other airports.

 

Is there any way to manually add these approaches to the GPS-500?

You might want to look into the new Flight1 Garmin GTN series of GPS addons for FSX.

They come with a 2011 database and many attractive features.. they are Garmin's current offering.

 

The two GPS approaches at KEYW are included.

You can do this with Airport Design Editor.

As Barry said, Airport Design Editor is able to do this. It might be a bit complicated and you'll have to do some research, but it's definitely doable.

You get not only the GPS approaches, but also the LPV glidepath steering.

It's easy to add an RNAV/GPS approach to the FSX GPS.  Also has the advantage that FSX ATC will use it / allow you to select it as well.  In fact the default airport has GPS 09 and 27 approaches.  Comparing to the current RNAV/GPS ones, I see a couple of the missed approach waypoints are changed, and now there is RNAV as well as GPS (same approach so it doesn't really matter).
