Update FSX with SP1 and SP2 and then install the expansion.

How come we are seeing more and more old posts dug up?

Oh yeah indeed, 2007... what on earth was I thinking?? I must have searched for something and then assumed that I was still on the main page of the MS FX Forum when I saw another message. I had 3 tabs open, so that's possible.

Sorry about that people.

Make sure you do not install SP2 before installing Acceleration. Acceleration was released by Microsoft long before SP2. SP2 is the freeware version of Acceleration w/o the payware stuff that came with Acceleration. SP2 is specially coded and will mess up your installation of Acceleration (assuming Microsoft allows the installer to work if it sees one or the other).

I'm going to lock this as I split the comments above from an old, old topic and this topic has been discussed in length here at AVSIM.
