Few question about first flight with PMDG 737-800NGX

Featured Replies

Okay, i just installed this PMDG 737-800NGX, flew the tutorial #1 and everything was ok.

After that, i updated the Navigraph AIRAC (cycle 1406), then i tried to fly from SBSP to SBCT. With the http://rfinder.asalink.net/free/ website i found that info about the route:

SBSP (0.0nm) -SID-> NIBGA (42.0nm) -UW24-> BROCK (118.6nm) -UW24-> CLARO (138.6nm) -DCT-> SBCT (178.9nm)

I used RWY 35R to takeoff from SBSP and RWY 15 to land in SBCT, so i programmed the FMC like this:

RWY 35R, SIDs NINV1B, TRANS NIBGA / via UW24 to BROCK / APPROACHES ILSX 15 STARs BROCK1.15

I had to delete a blank field in LEGS page (after CT003), well, the route was complete, after that i programmed everything else with FMC and Auto-Pilot and stuff.

After takeoff, i engaged the CMD A, everything was perfect, except in the descending path. After CT039, the aircraft stopped descending (i mannualy had to set the MCP Altitude Hold).

Another thing observed, in the final leg, the aircraft was heading 154, but the RWY HDG is 153 (in FSX).

Well, what did i made wrong? And how is the correct procedure to do a manual landing, time to disengage A/P and A/T? And if i would do an auto land, how do i do it?

If you guys need more information about the flight config:

Fuel: 1/3

Payload: Full (12 Fst Class / 150 Coach), Fwd Cargo: 2500lbs, Aft Cargo: 2500 lbs

Takeoff Flaps: 25 (i don't know is 25 is correct, but the aircraft takes too long to reach VR, and the RWY is short, with lots of tall buildings ahead)

SBSP_

Elevation: 2589

RWY 35L: 6365 x 148 feet

SBCT_

Elevation: 2972

RWY 15: 7267 x 148 feet / 2215 x 45 meters

Thanks and sorry about this big text,

In Tutorial #1 I believe the EGLL-EHAM flight is completed with an autoland on 16R. You have already done an autoland.  It might have shown up as a LAND3 on the PFD but it is the same as an autoland.

I know man, but that flight was easy.....i just followed the instruction in the .pdf. With this SBSP > SBCT flight i can't do an autoland (the aircraft doesn't align with the RWY and doesn't follow the descending path)

Idk if i did something wrong when i config the route in FMC.....idk if i made the manual landing right too, that's what i said in the post above....

Thanks again

Landings are landings.  The FCTM gives you pointers.  From there, it's practice, practice and practice.
