another stutter question

Featured Replies

Hi

Ok still trying to get my head round p3d but I get what I assume is stuttering but only in high banking turns where the outside view is sort of trying to catch up with itself.

In normal straight/level flight not really a problem.

At the moment I have my settings mostly to the right with the exception of the cloud shadows that are set at 10000

It seems to happen whether its a slow of fast aircraft just wondered if there are any obvious settings to lower so the banked turns are a little smoother.

I would consider that I have a pretty high spec machine, and its only running on a single 21inch monitor with a res of 1920x1080

thanks

I should have added it seems worse when I'm using things like orbx specific areas. The global side of things is better but still stutters a bit.

also I have p3d installed on an old HDD 7200rpm I think would this also have an effect on data loading the texture files?

thanks

Pete Little

Did you delete your shader folder?

-In P3D you will need to delete the shader cache and allow them to rebuild as this will help prevent any visual issues. You can find the shader cache here

C:\Users\you user name\AppData\Local\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2\Shaders

Do you have adaptive Vsync enabled?

Have you updated drivers recently?

Do you have anything running in the background while using P3D (Browser etc)?

Your GPU and CPU are fine I would say, so can't see it being one of them holding it back and causing the stutters.
