June 18, 201411 yr Hi all, I was getting different types of clouds under DX9. Since using DX10 Fixer I've been getting just one type of cloud, flat and grey. Is there a problem using REX4 Direct with DX10 fixer? Is there a setting I missed using NI or DX10 Fixer? I appreciate any help. June 18, 201411 yr Author Hi Steve, What is controller and test? Please forgive my ignorance. I will uninstall the libraries as instructed and get back to you with the results. I've been pulling my hair trying to figure whats going on. I tried at least 10 different airports including a couple in AK and get the same grey, gloomy 2d clouds, sort of cartoonish. June 18, 201411 yr Commercial Member there is a setting inside fsx in the weather section for simple or complex clouds have you got them set as simple? My FSX Analysis Blog
June 19, 201411 yr Author I use ASN as it bypasses FSX weather and got the grey, 2d clouds. I will use FSX weather and set it to simple in DX9. Thanks again Francisco Francisco Blas Windows 11 Pro | X-Plane 12 | ASUS Hero Z790 | Intel i9-13900K | G.SKILL 64GB DDR5 | ASUS STRIX 4090 | WD 4TB SN850X NVMe | ASUS Ryujin II AIO 360mm | Corsair AX1600i | Lian Li 011D EVO | DELL Alienware 38 G-SYNC
June 19, 201411 yr Author Hi Steve, It was the "simple" cloud settings that made the clouds look grey and 2d. I set it to "complex" setting and all is well. I'm not sure how it changed but thank you for help in solving my error.
