June 22, 201411 yr I'll be using the 4690K with the Gigabyte GA-Z97-HD3 That should work. Couldn't find a compatibility list but Tiger Direct offer that combo in a bundle.

June 23, 201411 yr Author That should work. Couldn't find a compatibility list but Tiger Direct offer that combo in a bundle. So here's my final line-up : http://pcpartpicker.com/p/WMtyqs What settings will this be able to run on (FSX)? I will be hooking it up to 3 monitors, and eventually some Saitek Radio/Switch/Multi/BIP Panels. Thank you!

June 23, 201411 yr Author It's ok Re: 3 monitors. You can, the 750 Ti supports Surround, Probably not with decent performance though Re: panels: yes Oh, ok thanks. What performance should I get (settings, I would prefer around 30fps on the QW 757 or LDS 767)? Thanks It's ok Re: 3 monitors. You can, the 750 Ti supports Surround, Probably not with decent performance though Re: panels: yes I guess I have to save up for the 4690K option with the 750ti 2GB. For the PSU, does it have to be the 500W or 430W would work? And is there a cheaper case as well?
June 23, 201411 yr For the PSU, does it have to be the 500W or 430W would work? And is there a cheaper case as well? So we're back to square one? What's your budget exactly? You can only save some $40 in the PSU + case. Totally not worth it

Totally not worth it Not exactly, I'm probably going back to the i5-4690K, 750ti 2GB (original plan). Got it, so I'll stick with that. My exact budget was $850-900 but my budget is now down to around $750-800. I could be able to stretch it to the $850-900 though So we're back to square one? What's your budget exactly? You can only save some $40 in the PSU + case. Totally not worth it I'm just wondering if there is anything I can save on here that won't affect the performance extremely. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/WMtyqs
June 24, 201411 yr Whatever you do, go with this RAM, It's much faster and only costs $5 more... even if you eventually get a H81 board and have to run it @ 1600MHz http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231585&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID= So this http://pcpartpicker.com/p/WMtyqs with the RAM above plus this http://pcpartpicker.com/part/cooler-master-cpu-cooler-rr212e20pkr2

Is that CPU cooler necessary even if I won't overclock?
June 24, 201411 yr Cool, thanks. Is that CPU cooler necessary even if I won't overclock? No, not really unless you overclock. BTW, found this PSU http://www.ncixus.com/products/?usaffiliateid=1000031504&sku=59615&vpn=P1550SXXB9&manufacture=XFX&promoid=1215 cheaper with rebates, better quality and more powerful than the corsair CX500

The video card just adds the extra ports?
June 26, 201411 yr Stupid question : The mobo has the VGA port, so when I get the video card, the VGA will still work right? The video card just adds the extra ports? The CPU has an integrated "graphics card" called IGP. The HDMI/VGA ports in the mobo are linked to the IGP, but you'll be using the dedicated GTX 750 Ti, so use it's ports to connect the monitor. You could still use the 750 Ti through the mobo ports theoretically, since your motherboard supports Lucid Virtu (switches between the IGP and the dedicated GPU based on graphics load: IGP at low loads to save energy, GPU with high loads for maximum performance). But I wouldn't bother. That 750Ti draws next to nothing when idle
