PIC 737 Evolution - EADI and EHSI Problem

Featured Replies

I recently purchased PIC 737 Evolution Deluxe Edition.  Enjoyed several great flights.  It recently developed an annoying problem and I/m wondering if anyone knows the answer.  I start from a cold and dark cockpit and everything starts fine, no warning lights or alarms, engines running, APU off, all looks great except -

The EADI is dark, with some lines, but no colored horizon ball and no data.

The EHSI is dark, with some lines but no data.

Autopilots don't engage, buttons on the MCP either don't light or they light and don't do anything.

Autothrottle does not work.

I can change the heading, speed and course indicators, but nothing happens.

As I said, the engines are running, all indicators, gauges and warning lights appear to be normal.

I even uninstalled it and reinstalled thinking that I inadvertently changed a configuration file or something.

I'm getting a little frustrated with this.  Found a few omissions in the manual  well.as

I have discovered the problem.  You must inititlize the IRS or Intertial Reference System,  This is not really covered in the manual, at lease not in the startup procedures where it shoudl be.

Glad you were able to find the solution.  I see others were not too happy with the manual - http://www.mutleyshangar.com/reviews/rob/737pic/737pic.htm. This is a fairly old aircraft addon for FSX so you may have problems finding members here at AVSIM who can provide help. Hopefully the manual and FeelThere/JustFlight forums will have answers to your questions.
