What this error is telling you is that a program using Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 w/SP1 is not installed properly or as intended by the developer of the product and threw a STATUS_INVALID_PARAMETER exception code. Maybe something as simple as moving your FSX.cfg to a temporary directory or renaming it to Fsx.orig and then restarting FSX and letting it rebuild will fix the problem. If it happens constantly, then I suggest you uninstall/reinstall or repair FSX. If this is the first time you have seen this or it does not happen often, I would not worry about it.

It's hard to tell whether they are related.  The faulting module here is unknown but that usually indicates you will get a StackHash or NTDLL.dll error soon.  In any case it is impossible to diagnose an "unknown module".  Did you do anything prior to this message as I suggested above like rebuilding your FSX.cfg?  At least it got rid of the Microsoft Visual error.

Yes sorry forget to mention I rebuilt fsx,cfg, so thats a good result there.

 

Okay thanks I will keep an eye on things but the sudden regular CTD;s have pretty much ceased

Hi i had alot of crashes too but all seemed to go with jims help some returned but got fixed i recently re-installed fsx NOT in the default folder and my addons too. Seemed to do the trick buddy :)

Also i had alot of MSVCR80.dll CTD now there gone by like i said above not installing fsx in the DEFAULT folder worked for me!
