POSKY 737 Cockpit view misplacement?

Featured Replies

Hi. I just today downloaded the Posky 737 model. Why? I'm not really sure... probably because I wanted a high quality 737-900. Anyway, after finally working in the Alejandro Rojas vc model, as well as default vc camera views, it seems for some odd reason the cockpit spawns about 20 feet behind the camera views. I have to use the Ctrl+Shift+Enter, Ctrl+Enter (etc.) combinations to get the cameras in place... but that tends to take a while. So, does anyone know any solutions.. or what are potential factors to this problem? To what I remember, I believe I have had this same issue a few weeks ago with another POSKY aircraft (maybe). Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Joe.

PS: I know the PMDG 737 is a good option, but you and I both know that that's an out of price range choice.

You need to set the starting value for the eyepoint in the aircraft.cfg. Values are front/back, left/right up/down.

But beware:

Alejandro's 738 is just that - a 738 cockpit. It's set up for the 738 fuselage, so it's located there and can't be adjusted for the 739's longer fuselage.

You might want to consider that statement. Since the 739 is longer, shouldn't the view be behind the cockpit? Sorry if I was confusing, but note that my post states that the cockpit spawns behind the views, not vice-versa. In other words, the views are in front of the cockpit (I almost confused myself :rolleyes:). Anyway, should I just experiment with the values for the starting points, or do you know it off the top of your head?

Thanks.

I'm a 1980s pilot, so I don't have the model installed.

Just tinker with the numbers until you get a desirable result regarding the eyepoint.

Then line the nosewheel up with a hold short line or something like that, switch to the cockpit view and see what I meant when I said that the 738 cockpit does not fit to the 739's fuselage.

You're welcome.

It would be advisable to post the resulting numbers here, in case someone else has the same problem.

- Edit: Googled a bit ("POSKY 737 eyepoint"). Try these:

eyepoint = 42.5, -1.55, 1.9 //Default FSX Coordinates
