July 14, 201411 yr Commercial Member Came across a confusing issue and thought I might ask you guys: I did something different than my previous flights; instead having 1 virtual cockpit across 2 monitors, I decided to put the Captain's side on the left monitor, and the First Officer's side on the right using "New View" from the Options bar. The reason I have it setup like this is because I plan to have a colleague over for a 2 crew flight and I want my side different from his so if I pan around, his side is unaffected and he can still look out the windshield, or feed data into the CDU. However, I noticed I can only click switches / turn knobs on the Captain's side. When I try to do anything on the FO's side (which is a "New View"), nothing happens. The only thing I can do is pan the view. Is there another approach to setting up 2 seperate views in FSX on 2 monitors? Or is there a tool that can fix this issue? Thanks, Hank TFDi Design
July 15, 201411 yr Are we talking 2D panels here or the VC? Or does the "new view" option open a new window in which any view can be selected? If so, I doubt that you can click anything in it by principle. 7950X3D + 7900 XT + 64 GB + Linux | 4800H + RTX2060 + 32 GB + Linux My add-ons from my FS9/FSX days

However, only the original FSX window (Captain's VC on monitor 1) can be interacted with. What I'm looking for is a fully interactive FO side so if the pilot not flying (or pilot monitoring) is panning the view, my side doesn't get affected so I can still look straight ahead. TFDi Design
July 15, 201411 yr As I've said: I don't think that's possible. 7950X3D + 7900 XT + 64 GB + Linux | 4800H + RTX2060 + 32 GB + Linux My add-ons from my FS9/FSX days
