July 19, 201411 yr Dear PMDG, This: Is so far the best feature of the SP1 update! Thanks for the hard work Bob Kermin.
July 19, 201411 yr Author What does it do? Keeps the sound running even if you have FSX minimized (or you've clicked on another program like ASN or PFPX) It was the single most annoying thing for me having the sound cut out all the time. There's a 3rd party program that does the same thing but it never really worked that well with the 777 Bob Kermin.
July 19, 201411 yr Commercial Member Note that this feature only keeps the 777's custom sound processor playing in the background. You need another product to keep FSX's own sound engine playing. (which controls the engines and part of the wind layers in the 777) Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
July 19, 201411 yr Awesome! Thanks for pointing it out Bob. Now I can run IvAp externally! Even though part of the sounds are lost when switching windows as Ryan just said, they now are intact when I move onto IvAp's scratchpad, which wasn't possible before this was implemented, thus forcing me to run IvAp internally and generated crashes to desktop some times when hitting the "Connect" button.

No problem, the 3rd party program i use is soundstream and there is no difference between focused and un-focused sounds now, Seems both pmdg and soundstream work perfectly together Previously as ryan said only the engines and some wind sounds would come through instead of everything Bob Kermin.
