July 22, 201411 yr I also will wait for the consumer model. This dev kit is far from finished. You also need quite high fps to get a good experience: I wonder if P3D (and FSX) run well enough on any PC to make the experience worthwhile. BTW If you order it now, don't expect the device within a few days: there is a very long waiting list and I think you will be lucky of you receive the device this year already!
