duke aircraft.cfg HOW To GET TO THIS FOLDER
In all probability, it's in the P3D folder, SimObjects, and aircraft's name............several folders inside of this folder. Most "all" aircraft.cfg's are located this way.

2 P3dV2 installs on same computer?

building pc for p3d
After my two latest builds, Z97 & an X79 (and YES, they will overclock themselves with the AI Suite) - I would recommend the Corsair H-100 / or H-105 liquid coolers......... They are working great, good price, and both of my recent pc's are oc'd to 4.8 and are fine with temps. Good Luck

My Traffic V6 not loading in P3D
You add it "manually" in the P3D, opened program. From there you click on add, then click browse - to (example of where you have MT 6.0 installed) ex: browse to C:\MyTrafficProfessional\MyTraffic and click ok........and name it My Traffic IF it asks you for a "name of scenery"............... You may be confusing this with adding the #9 Line in the scenery.cfg.. Good luck..........I've had it working great as long as P3d has been out.

The ATC and Kneeboard windows in P3D
I've complained about this since v1.4 - and it hasn't changed. I've not seen anything discussing this in quite a while, so it's like it's here to stay. I searched and searched for a way to make it transparent to no avail. I am sure the lack of transparency aggravates a lot of the simmers of P3D. T

Turning HDR off will lighten things up also.

How to patch if you missed a patch earlier?
Fresh Install / or / Patch - be sure to read the instructions IF you're going to patch - no biggie, but read them and you'll get a good patch install. The latest versions encompass the past updates, ie: v2.3 .....

PFD Error? Vertical Red Lines
Hi folks, I've read everything I can find in the manuals on TCAS - and I am setting it up correctly, but the red lines are still there. I've tried ALL panel states and they represent the same behavior. Read several other google hits, and most of these folks say it's the TCAS "STUCK" in Test Mode - and most have done a full uninstall/re-install to correct the situation. Apparently, it does not affect the "737" and you can fly, but the red lines are mainly an annoyance. Any other thoughts? Thank you so much, Tom

I am at a complete loss! (Reverse Thrust Problem)
Go with the paid version of FSUIPC and you can calibrate your throttles there and include an offset for reverse thrusters. When you use FSUIPC, you delete/eliminate the commands in P3D controller section. Works like a dream.

PFD Error? Vertical Red Lines
Thanks friend - we're on the same page.... Just tell me what the red lines are and "me" be ok. Tom

PFD Error? Vertical Red Lines
yourgosGK, Nope....Don't violate EULA's..... Elimarbp - The TCAS is turned to "on"....

PFD Error? Vertical Red Lines
Hi Folks, I've tried to find the reason for the two red vertical bars in the manual. I "thought" it was IRS not aligned. This is one of the default flights with the ngx default panel state.... I'm new to this and would highly appreciate someone telling me what is wrong and point me in the correct direction to fix it. Thanks so much, Tom

Does Prepar3D v2 need overclocked CPU?
I went from 3.6 on my older pc to 4.8 on my new pc build, plus SSD, and all I can say is it's FAST in comparison.

Startup Screen size in P3D V2
Just for the heck of it, I would lower my resolution and see it that doesn't cause the startup window to size properly???

Unable to Load My Traffic for P3D Version 2.3 with Windows 8.1
tkellogg, NO - P3D is installed in your "root of C:\" - or on another drive. Too many administrative rights and violations if installed in the programs folder. MyTraffic is installed in the root folder of Lockheed Martin\Prepar 3D v2..... IMHO, sounds like you have it installed in the wrong place.

v2.3 looks almost picture perfect
Jim, Your Photoshop "tweak" really looks great..... For so many of us without Photoshop skills, wish there was a "way" we could achieve your results. Maybe LM will include a slider in the future???? Tom

Need "tips" how to make BA-RJ70's Cockpit "Better Focus"
Hi folks, Loving P3d 2.3 - Only one problem so far: I installed the Quality Wings 146 two P3d versions ago, and now in version 2.3. I primarily fly the RJ-70, 80 Series and all is working well..........however, in the vc, my instrument names, fmc text etc., is not good, crisp and clean. What do I need to do. Quality Wings did not respond nor is their any results in searching their forum. I'm running plain vanilla config, NO NI, using HDR (makes no difference on/or/off) - you can see in my "sig" that I have a hi-end pc and gpu. I just don't know what I need to do to resolve this. Your help would be appreciated. Tom

Help for a newcomer.... Please...?
Bob, Clutch Cargo is absolutely correct. Yes, you can "port" over "most" FSX aircraft - just copy the aircraft folder you want, such as Cessna 172 - BUT, in a lot of cases, like with the FSX 737, you also have to copy over "Fonts / Guages / and in some cases the "Sound" files from FSX and put in their respective folder in FSX. A program such as Esotonian Migration Tool will allow you to install some "pay-ware" aircraft that is for strictly FSX....but when it comes to the "default" aircraft in FSX, you have to copy folders and files. Just try P3d for a month, 9.95 and see if you like it.....just don't make too much of a fuss about what you can and cannot do UNTIL you've tried it. Tom

Help for a newcomer.... Please...?
Prepar3D is a complete flight simulation software. At this point, it comes with a lot of very nice aircraft, but no 737. You "could" port over your FSX 737 and it will work. Just like FSX, you can purchase add-on's to your liking. PMDG aircraft are a no-no "at-this-time" with P3d, however, from all understanding, their have been talks about PMDG releasing a P3D compliant 737NGX and other PMDG products later on. I have NOT seen any other threads stating that the talks are "off". Look at P3d at the latest, and completely supported flight simulation program out there. With good, hi-quality up-dates and a very progressive development team............ MS has abandoned FSX years ago.........so, you make the choice. I left FSX almost 3 years ago for P3D....and haven't looked back. Granted, I had tons of hi-cost add-on's, but I spent more time tweaking FSX than flying. That is no longer the case with P3d. Tom

Settings
Hi folks, Saving special settings has worked for me since v1.4 - Make whatever adjustments you want, in any tab, such as traffic % - go back to general tab, click "save settings", it will open with a box to name it whatever you want, such as "Increased Traffic", and it will save ALL of your new settings plus the ones you didn't change. You can click "save settings" again, and you'll see default plus you're new one. FSX had the same feature.

Are these "tweaks" still useful in Prepar3D - v2.3?
THANKS to ALL.................. I'm NOT touching mine from default - just wanted to know if those "tweaks" that I've used in the past P3d versions and FSX were still viable.........and I'm glad they're not. I used to spend hours tweaking with FSX and the earlier versions of P3d, until version v2.2 - I just said "screw-it", I bought this to fly and not tweak......and I am much better for kicking the habit....and IMO, 2.3 is what we all hoped for two years ago and now we're using it. Kudos to LM and a big "thank you" to Rob for all of his hard work and keeping us in the loop.... Blessings to all, Tom
