July 29, 201411 yr I have a Saitek X 52 Joystick that makes a rubbing noise when it moves. If I squirt a little WD 40 at the base, would it harm the connection ?
July 29, 201411 yr Commercial Member WD 40 is good for connection as far as I know. I will squirt a bit on G25 pedal pots today. I can sa that Silicon spray lubricant is good for plastic parts, but I don't know what will happen if it drops on pot or some wires. Current system: ASUS PRIME Z690-P D4, Intel 12900k, 32GB RAM @ 3600mhz, Zotac RTX 3090 Trinity, M2 SSD, Oculus Quest 2.

July 29, 201411 yr I've used silicone successfully for a while. As far as I know WD_40 is not safe for plastics. It's technically a degreasing solvent not a lubricant, so can eat away at protective oils in rubber or plastic. Ethan Edelson
