Vhhh "no Autoland"

Featured Replies

Before i descent i set my approach route in Approaches page. And when i do that, ILS frequencies are autotuned.

Not if you select an RNAV approach instead of an ILS approach (I meant to say RNAV, not LNAV).  At least that has been my experience.

I am not sure what issue you had in mind when you said,

Im using 1408 from Navigraph. It´s strange. The VNAV supposed to guide the plane to the glideslope after localazing.

Have your landings with autoland been going better?

Sounds like you were descending in VNAV, with APP armed. The glideslope glideslope callout may indicate you were below the glideslope. Now you decided to go around, great decision. However I think you did not push the TO/GA and only selected V/S to establish a climb. As you only change pitch mode and not engage G/A mode, APP stays armed and when you climbed, APP captured the glideslope and went to LAND 3. That's at least what I think what happened, do not forget to push TO/GA when going around, it will automatically arm or activate LNAV for the Missed Approach procedure and disengages LOC or APP.

I always fine in Dubai. The problem is just in VHHH for now. Where is the TO/GA button? I cant see anything like that. And when landed in Dubai i press LOC vnav is on. And the approach when the plane localize. The VNAV is decending so the plane can the plane can catch the glideslope. This method always working in Dubai or Copenhagen airport. Well VNAV should be enabled, it would be hard to capture glideslope if i by my self control the vertical speed. I always landing like this with NGX, and no problems.
