August 3, 201411 yr I have been running FSX/Acceleration with DX-10 via Steve's DX10 Fixer for some time now.Suddenly for no apparent reason when starting FSX the screen that shows the revolving aircraftis black. I tried selecting another aircraft, still black.I then did a repair with the FSX DVD and again with the Acceleration DVD. Still the black screen.Rather than un-installing, just to see what would happen I switched to DX-9 via Steve's DX10 Fixerand everything is back to normal.I will appreciate any help with this as the sim is so much better with DX10.
August 3, 201411 yr As you have done a repair with the fsx dvd you may have to uninstall and reinstall the DX10 Scenery Fixer, however you could try uninstalling the Libraries first, check to see if the Shaders10 file has been removed, (if not rename it) reboot the computer and reinstall the Libraries and then run Fsx, check to see if the Shaders10 folder has been reconfigured by fsx. what version of the fixer are you running. bob ps edit, don't forget to read the fixer manual and follow the uninstall instructions.
August 3, 201411 yr Author Thank's Bob, DX10 Controller,v2.3 Build 60. Problem is solved.Switched to DX9, un-installed the libraries, switched back to DX10, installed the libraries. So glad I don't have to do another reinstall.
