Open LC installation problem

Featured Replies

I'm installing my computer from windows up and I'm having problems with the Open LC installers.

The first time I installed them everything was fine, but now, the second time I install, 2 or 3 of the packages install properly and from the 3rd or 4th package I do get the 'prepare for install' process and after that the installer just quits.

I thought it might be in one of the installers and tried to install in different orders, but this doesnt help, its completely random and sometimes 3 pack install right, another time 2 packs...

Anyone know how to install all 4 packs without installers quitting?

Cheers!

Maarten

Heya Maarten,

You may want to try the "Nick Needham" approach to fix this, i.e., install one region, reboot, run FSX/P3D, and then reboot again. Rinse and repeat.

Laborious, but Mister Needham, for all his foibles, does know his way around creating a stable system.

I learned a lot from his FSX installation procedures, indeed. But I think I found the problem myself, already: Harddisc space...

My P3D harddisc is full! :(

Time for a bigger one, I guess. :P

Cheers!
