Purchasing a UPS for my Flight Sim setup

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I am considering purchasing a UPS for my gaming PC that I use to play FSX. I'm trying to figure out what type of UPS I need (volts, watts, etc.)

Right now I have a gaming PC with a 705W power supply. I also have 3 27" monitors and a number of peripherals:

Saitek Yoke/Rudder/Elevator Trim/Switch Panel/Radio Panel

Logitech MK320 Wireless Standard Keyboard w/Optical Mouse
Logitech Z623 200W 2.1ch Speakers

Is there a way to calculate what UPS model would be best? I'd only be looking to supply power for 10-15 mins, just so have I have enough time to power down the PC if the power goes out in order to prevent damage to any components. If anyone could give me any suggestions or point me in the right direction, I would sincerely appreciate it.

Thank you!

If you don't buy into the Pure Sine Wave stuff there's a cheaper version...

Google pure sine wave and active PFC for reading material.

Edit/ actually if you read the first review on that amazon link "Appears solid, though slow changeovers and optimistic runtime" that guy explains everything very well!
