August 8, 201411 yr Dear FSX ATI Users, I am having huge FPS drops after running FSX for a few minutes in some addon planes and I strongly believe this is caused by my GPU settings in CC and FSX not being optimized to take advantage of the latest technology. I have an ATI R7 card so what settings would you recommend in Catalyst for all round good performance and should I override or enhance Anisotropic filtering?
August 8, 201411 yr I like the optimizations as stated in the following topic: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/404430-optimal-settings-for-ati-users-with-fsx-great-results/ . August 12, 201411 yr Author I haven't installed many addons yet but I experience the problem in the newer carenado planes (e.g. C90, B200 and Cirrus) and I have the latest service pack for them. Has any other ATI users experience an fps drop in these planes or similar problems? It starts out smooth and then slowly drops at or below 9fps. I'm on 14.4 drivers.
