August 9, 201411 yr Hi All, Spent now 2 hours searching, but can't find the answer, so here I am asking the question myself  In aircraft.cfg CameraDefinition are present for a lot of views, but not Captains seat view and FMC view to name two important ones. What are the steps that I need to do to add these views myself...or does anyone out there have these added views to share for the broad community...and me? ^_^ All the best Daniel
August 10, 201411 yr Any reason why you do not have the brilliant EZCA software ? It gives you a hole cinematic experience including your own cockpit views ,aircraft and world cameras with an easy interface to setup. A must have add-on in my opinion. Michael Moe Michael Moe
August 10, 201411 yr Author Thanks for your reply Michael. The reason is 27 Euro. The NGX was the must have. When I can add the views for captain seat and FMC view - which I think is technically possible - then that satisfies my needs... for the time being. Hope someone will have the data to copy into aircraft.cfg for this.. rgds, Daniel
August 10, 201411 yr Hi, this is because the captain seat view is set in the camera.cfg found in %AppData%\Microsoft\FSX It is the normal virtual camera view you get with F9 on your keyboard. The FMC is a 2D-Subpanel which can not be coded in the aircraft.cfg. But you are free to add your own camera views by copying on section, paste it with a new header. You must alter the GUID entry, to get this to work. A free GUID generator could be found here: http://www.guidgenerator.com/online-guid-generator.aspx Generate this code with braces {} To get a deep view into this take a look here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc526984.aspx With kind regardsRoland PohlVice chairman FSC e.V.
August 10, 201411 yr Author Thank you Roland, I will look at this and see if I can get it to work. rgds, Daniel
August 11, 201411 yr Author This is definately going to work. Thanks. 1) Would there be a way to set that after panning in a first view, then switching to a second view, then back to the first view, it will re-set the positions of the first view to original (e.f. captain face forward)? Did not see a switch for that in the docs or did not understand. 2) Is there an option in FSX that will display the current xyzpbh? regards, Daniel
