Windows 8.1 and Joystick Disconnect

Recommended Posts

I just upgraded to windows 8.1 and have a fresh install of P3D 2.3 (using Thrustmaster Cougar stick). I'm experiencing the so-called "disconnect" issue. I've tried to comb through the old posts about windows 8 joystick disconnect issues, but there are hundreds of posts.

Is this a "solved" issue at this point? I just installed Win8.1, so I haven't followed the previous threads. Is there a solution to this problem?

Hi there - many folks seem to use FSUIPC to bypass/fix the problem.

I had the issue initially on my Logitech G940 (when I upgraded to from Win 7 to 8), but the problem resolved itself after I mucked around disabled USB power management...
