Master Brightness question

Featured Replies

Hello!

The master brightness-button on the overhead panel is a very usefuel thing, but the displays (PFD, ND, CDU etc.) are always to bright with master brightness on.

Have anyone a idea to fix this without switching to manual mode?

They're all controlled by the master brightness (that's the point of it).  If they're not changing, then they're not in the "slaved" detent.  A middle mouse click will place the display knob in the middle or "on the dot."  When it's "on the dot," it's slaved to the master.

You can see it very clearly in the first YouTube video I put up of it (and I remember because everyone had a fit that I keep my displays so dimly lit - I adjust it somewhere between 1:45:00 and 1:52:00).

haha - isn't this the one where I'm like "I've recorded this, like, 3 times, so my voice is just about done," and I proceeded to try and cover a bunch of the features on a voice of death?

(the videos kind of all blend together, and I'm at work without headphones, so I can't listen)

Regardless - thanks!
