September 3, 201411 yr Migrated from FS9 recently so I apologize for the FSX novice question, but is it ok that there are no files or subfolders in the FSX/addon scenery and texture folders? Secondly, I've attempted to load TFI KALB 2010 freeware...it automatically installs to the FSX/addon folder, however when I point to this scenery in the scenery settings list...it won't load. I read a post where they suggested putting the KALB2010 scenery and texture folders into the addon scenery and texture main folders and keeping the KALB scenery and texture folders as subfolders...still no joy on the scenery when I fire up FSX and position on the active at KALB. I'm sure it's operator error. September 3, 201411 yr They are empty by default. Most of us do not use the Addon Scenery folder but create our own scenery folder somewhere else on our computer system. If you are installing KALB you would create a folder on your computer system entitled KALB. Subfolders under KALB would be Scenery and Texture. You would then move all of the .bgl's to the Scenery folder. The texture folder will probably be empty. You would then open up FSX and go to the Scenery Library and then click on Add and then go to the folder where KALB/Scenery is located. There's a bug in Windows 7 where this scenery will not load automatically into the Scenery Library and you have to click the blank space inside the directory list for it to load into your Scenery Library (see the topic pinned in the Windows 7 forum). I also recommend the following link for information on how to install addon scenery - http://www.fstipsandaddons.com/tutorials/installing-scenery-fsx.html . Go Fly. September 3, 201411 yr On my phone so I'll be brief. That's normal on new fsx, and if you want to be able to turn on individual addon scenery (I'd recommend it) find the folder in your downloaded scenery that has a scenery and possibly a texture subfolder folder, and move that folder to the fsx addon scenery folder). Now launch fsx and open the scenery library in settings. Click add scenery (or whatever the add button is called), and navigate to the fsx addon scenery folder. Single click on your new scenery folder and then click the open/okay/confirm button in the add scenry window. It will then open the folder you selected as opposed to closing and returning to the scenery library (this is an old bug IIRC). Now just single click somewhere in the white folder navigation box (but not on any of the folders) and you'll be returned to the scenery library, hopefully with your scenery at the top of the list - move it to the top of it isn't. Now whenever you want to use that airport, ensure you tick the box next to it and it will load in your next flight. Good luck and I hope I didn't just make things worse! Finlay Waller
