Anybody using D3DOverrider for P3D v2.3?

Featured Replies

I'm curious to know if anybody is using this tool to force vSync and/or Triple Buffering on. There are some threads here at avsim together with FSX/DX10 but it obviously works with DX11 too.

To read this thread at the guru3D forum may help too. http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=378546

I tried it and it works for me even with Windows 8.1 and I notice a quite nice increase in FPS but still not sure if it's true in any case. I've vSync/Triple buffer switched off in P3D v2 and switched on in nVidia CP but at guru3D they say this only works for OpenGL - I don't know.

This explanation about vSync/Triple Buffering is also very interesting to read. http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=928593

But whose frame rates are exceeding their monitor's refresh rate in P3d? Even for very short time periods? My solution to screen tearing is to just set the IQ settings higher.

Don't get you now. My intention was to give a hint about D3DOverrider to force on vSync and/or Triple Buffering because it seems to be that the setting in nVidia CP is not helping.
