September 5, 201411 yr Hello, When I give a heading select command, the aircraft gives a light shock or bump. The same happens on activating LNAV mode. What could be the cause of this. FYI, I use a registered FSUIPC software (latest version). Sincere regards, Nico Dhondt
September 5, 201411 yr the aircraft gives a light shock or bump Uh, could you give a little more description since a 'shock or bump' can be taken many different ways. What happens to the PFD when you switch between HDG and LNAV? Is the vertical axis 'bumping' or is the bank axis 'bumping'?? Dan Downs KCRP
September 6, 201411 yr Pretty sure this is normal for the sim, there's always been a slight wobble when switching modes, especially mid turn. Also happens if you engage APP while LOC is still turning onto runway centerline. Not sure if this happens on the real planes or not, but to avoid the jerkiness try to make transitions between modes smoother. Wait till lnav turns are finished before engaging hdg. Likewise, wait till loc is established before going to approach mode. You can also guide the hdg mode manually. So if your current heading is 250 and you want to go to 350, first position the heading bug to 250, engage hdg, then sweep it to 350. Ethan Edelson
