September 5, 201411 yr good evening Today I got the NGX for the first time. Now I seem to be having trouble with the engines. I know it might sound like completely stupidity and not only have I read the manual and searched the boards but how do you shut the engines down? I don't know if this is way more advanced then the 747-400X which I seem to have either mastered or it is really simple but this engine problem is kinda driving me bonkers thanks all for your help in advance Ian Snow
September 5, 201411 yr Same way you shut all engines down in modern airliners. Use the fuel cutoff switches. However, remember to have the electrical system properly transferred to the APU or a ground source or else you are going to find yourself in a gloomy flight deck when the generators go offline once the engines stop spinning. Cheers,Victor M. Lima
September 5, 201411 yr AS above.............1 APU on 2 Fuel Switches to off......its as simple as that..Happy flying....... brian.
September 5, 201411 yr Author hi all wow I must be getting the brain fried eyes because I can't find the fuel switches I know there is no throttle section on the NGX so it has to be on the panels but that is seeming to elude me thanks Ian Snow
September 5, 201411 yr You must be in the VC... there is no 2D panels of the throttles. Look @ http://img529.imageshack.us/img529/7792/201092016356896.png I know thats the default one, but same thing on all 737's. Have you read the manual :-) Brent Lewis
September 5, 201411 yr Author hi Flyerboy I know for sure I am in the 2d panel because I can't move around the cockpit with the joystick hat if I move left I see out the window same with the right in fact I cannot see the throttles at all in this state and the manual said this "there is no 2d panel for the throttle console area" thanks for all your help Ian SNow
September 6, 201411 yr "there is no 2d panel for the throttle console area" Ian You are correct. Any adjustments to the throttles, fuel cut off, trim setting must be done from the VC. Michael Cubine
