September 13, 201411 yr (Using FSX, PMDG 747, MCE, RC4 with various Airports and photo-real scenery) I've now got the above combination working well together and the effect is sensational. But now I'm expanding my flights to unfamiliar airports, I'm really missing the "Progressive Taxi" arrows which lead me to the active runway (for take off) and the Gate (after landing). Is there anyway to restore this, please?
September 13, 201411 yr The only way I know of is to activate the default ATC for the beginning and end of your flights. You probably could leave the voice off since all replies are keyboard commands. You would have to reactivate the default ATC as you neared the end of the flight. There is a little add-on (and therefore a chance to spend even more money on flight sim) called "Airport GPS". One of the members of our VA has used it for quite some years and speaks highly of it. September 13, 201411 yr Moderator Tight Git, If you use a second networked computer (power can be quite low) there are a few options for a moving map that will help with airport navigation and a whole lot more. FS Flight Keeper is a flight logging program with airport layouts and enroute maps. http://www.flightkeeper.net/ Electronic Flight Bag has SIDs, STARs and airport layout maps. http://www.aivlasoft.com/ Ray (Cheshire, England). September 13, 201411 yr Author Many thanks, I'll consider those options. (I was rather hoping that my trusty FO could help, but he seems to be just as lost as his Captain!)
September 13, 201411 yr Moderator Unfortunately the FO can't help with taxi instructions. We did have taxi instructions working in v5 but it is unlikely to see the light of day.
