September 13, 201411 yr I hope someone can help me with a problem I have with voxATC 6.46. I can install the program and it operates in FSX. However when I try to run the Runway Number Update I get the following message. Runway Number Update has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Please close the program. I also get the same problem with the following operations within the voxATC menu . ATC Aircraft Type Name Editor Flight Plan Extras Procedure Pronuciation Editor Select Simulator Voice Configuration I have tried everything I can think of and even contacted the developer, so far nothing has worked. My PC Specs are as follows. Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit Intel® Core i7 CPU 960 @ 3.20Ghz 12.0 GB RAM
September 13, 201411 yr So, basically, nothing, mostly, is not working! Did you install "as Admin"? BTW, what did the developer have to say? Do you have it only for FSX? Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
September 13, 201411 yr Author The program runs in FSX as it should. It is only the problem with accessing the menu features outside of FSX within the voxATC windows start menu. I can install and run ver 6.1 and all works fine. I only have this issue with 6.46. The developer has had me uninstall and then deleting both VoxATC folders and then reinstall, which I have tried several times without success, and to make sure I have set up the Nav Data folder. I have also tried installing as Admin. I do only have FSX installed.
September 13, 201411 yr I just tested Runway Update using ver 646 .. all ok. What is the path to your navdata? Which cycle do you have? When you try Flight Plan Extras ... what msg do you get? Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
September 13, 201411 yr Author 1) C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\ Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Level-D Simulations\navdata 2) Navigraph Cycle 14/09 3) Flight Plan Extras has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Please close the program. I have a friend with a similar flight sim setup and 6.46 runs well on his rig so it must be something wrong on my rig. I don't have any problems if I install 6.1 only with 6.46. Appreciate your help. Roy
September 13, 201411 yr Roy, " 1) C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\ Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Level-D Simulations\navdata " I do not put anything in a Microsoft folder. Mine: F:\FSX\Level-D Simulations\navdata Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
September 13, 201411 yr Author I understand that it would be best to have FSX somewhere other than Program Files (x86), but I do have my UAC turned off so this should make no difference. On my friends PC his navdata is in the same folder and he does not have a problem. Why 6.1 should work but not 6.46 on my PC is bewildering to say the least. Roy
September 13, 201411 yr Roy, When checking problems .... I mention what I think is best. "Flight Plan Extras has stopped working." Look in the Windows Event viewer and see which module (name) failed (Caused) the problem. Edit: Ask your friend to see which runways are now current at LEMD. I think I seen a problem there. Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW

September 13, 201411 yr I would sent it to VOXatc ... see what he says. Are you logged in as admin? Do you run all programs As Admin? Did you try logging in as another User and try to run it. Are you using a Mac PC? ": C:\Program Files (x86)\Internal Workings\VoxATC X\RunwayNumberUpdate.exe" Bad spot for these programs! Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
September 13, 201411 yr Author I will send the error log to the developer. I am logged in as admin, I run all my programs as admin. Tried as another user and that hasn't worked' PC Thanks for the help Roy
September 13, 201411 yr I would Uninstall. Reboot PC. Then install in a new folder OLD: : C:\Program Files (x86)\Internal Workings\VoxATC X\RunwayNumberUpdate.exe"" New: e.g. F:\VoxatcX Edit: Ask your friend to see which runways are now current at LEMD. I think I seen a problem there. Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
September 13, 201411 yr Author Just tried that as you suggest but still having the same problem. Thanks Roy
September 13, 201411 yr Roy, Go to your new F:\VoxatcX folder. Do a screenshot showing the path and the files / size dates etc installed in that folder. Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
September 13, 201411 yr Author Hi Vaughan, have the screenshot but can't find how to upload it on Avsim. Roy
