September 14, 201411 yr Can someone please point out to me where I can find the Windows joystick dialog? I need to know the number of one of my controllers and the number of a button on it, which both dont seem to correspond to the joystick and button number as I see it in FSUIPC. According to the manual I should be able to find it in the Windows joystick dialog, but either searching my computer, or searching on internet dont give me any results at all... If someone could point me out where to go would be great. Cheers! Maarten
September 14, 201411 yr Control Panel > Hardward and Sound > Devices and Printers > right click on the icon for your joystick, it will not necessarily look like a joy stick, the icon for mine looks like a game controller and not a joy stick. After you right click go to "Game Controller Settings" and then you will just have to look through whatever pops up to find what you want.
September 14, 201411 yr Author Ok, I found where to go, that's one. The CH throttle is in de lower part of the Devices and Printers window and right-clicking it doesnt give me the Game Controller Settings option. In the top part of the Devices and Printers window I find my Saitek yoke/rudder/trimwheel and VRInsight T&T and when I right-click those I get a list of all controllers, including the CH throttle (for which I need to know controller and button number). Only there is no numbering for the controllers. The CH throttle is second in the list and counting from 0 that would be number 1 and that is indeed correct, but on checking if the first controller in the list is indeed controller number 0 failed, so that the CH throttle is 1 was actually a lucky guess... I also cant find any button numbers for the CH throttle there. For the Saitek yoke I get the calibration window when I click on properties showing all buttons with number, so I went to the CH calibration program and looked up which number the button triggers and that is button No. 1. But trying this didnt work and it turned out I need button No. 0. So for this one function I've got things working by pure luck, for the controller number as well as the button number, but I still dont know how to actually find the controller number and button number, if I want to assign more functions to this, or other controllers... Where/how do I find the actual numbers for controllers and buttons? Cheers! Maarten
