You'll love the Q400, it's one of the best simulations available for FSX in any category.  Few things in FSX beat the thrill of nailing a flaps 40 landing in bad weather.

 

Especially when it only has Flaps 35

I lived in Vegas for a couple of years, and there are some pretty nasty cross wind days landing to the west.  I've seen some Horizon Q400s in some pretty extreme configurations - nose down, wing high etc.. coming into McCarren.  Must have been pretty scary to be a passenger.

You can't go wrong with the NGX either.  Very easy to fly, once you know how to set up the FMC, you can be ready to roll in just a few minutes, great liveries available.
