Just wondering about the communities thoughs about what the dovetail licensing purchase might mean for the future of flight simulation?

I wouldn't imagine that it will affect P3D.

I would have thought that having someone actively marketing FS has to be better than not.

Honestly, this topic has already been hashed to death over the past few months since the announcement. Frankly, I don't see it having any affect more than simply continuing to make the moribund FSX available to what will hopefully prove to be a new generation...

 

...entirely due to it being exposed via Steam to a much larger potential audience.

 

As for any possible effect on Prepar3D, that would absolutely none whatsoever, except possibly making it even more popular than ever due to its continuous development!
