September 22, 201411 yr Hi guys Newbie here - we're spending a bit of time with X-Plane and I've got a real world 757-200 pilot coming to see us later this week to give the platform the once over. One thing I miss a lot from FSX is Ezdok, which has that lovely damped mouse pan that gives a nice cinematic quality to panning around inside the VC, or indeed outside. So far as I can see, X Plane doesn't have anything like this and despite being able set view points with smooth transitions, I'm finding that the 3D look around with the mouse is a bit jerky, and needs a steady hand. This isn't a hardware/frame rate issue - we're running a Titan with an over clocked i7 3970x which is giving us great performance in the sim. Is there anything in the settings or the plug in world that can damp out the pan rate? Any suggestions much appreciated! Ben | Ben Weston www.airline2sim.com
September 22, 201411 yr I agree about the cameras in XP Have you tried pressing C? I think it's default for free camera and you can use the mouse and arrow keys to move around | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
