what is the correct order of install ?

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I am doing a clean install, I have bought the 777-200LR, 300ER, and have the patch 1b downloaded as well.

What is the correct order to install ?

Is it 200LR, 300-ER and patch 1b OR 200LR, patch 1b and 300-ER ?

Thanks

Hari

If you just bought the -200LR, you don't need the patch at all.  First install the 200LR, then the 300ER.  If you bought the 200LR before SP1B for the 200LR came out, run the install file, then the SP1B file, then the 300ER.

Take a look at the install files - if the 200LR file is dated newer than the SP1B patch, you don't need the patch.  If you didn't just buy the 300ER, redownload that installer file from your PMDG account before installing it.

the date on the downloaded executables are

Base - 200-LR/F  3rd Sep 2013

SP1B - 8th Aug 2014

Sorry Mike, should have continued ....

Base 200- LR/F    3rd Sep 2013

SP1B  -  8th Aug 2014

300ER - 8th Aug 2014

Given SP1B and 300ER are same date, which should be installed first ?.

Thanks

You have the original 200LRF installation file and the most recent service pack & 300ER file.  So:  Base 200LR/F, then SP1B, then 300ER.

At the end, double check in the Operations Center.  Both should show 1.10.6061
