Help with RUNWAY Lights

Featured Replies

Hello guys this is my first post on this forum,
I would like to make my Runway lights brighter and quite visible from distance like 10-12NM away from the airport. I know light textures are located in FSX/Textures/Halo.bmp however I noticed once you edit that file in Photoshop it doesn't show any lights at all. Does anyone know a way to make the lights Brighter and Visible from distance?

Don't know if this will help or not!  Do you have anything that looks like this under the [Display] section

of your FSX.cfg?

RUNWAY_LIGHTS_APPROACH_SCALAR=1.2
RUNWAY_LIGHTS_STROBE_SCALAR=1.0
RUNWAY_LIGHTS_SURFACE_SCALAR=1.2
RUNWAY_LIGHTS_VASI_SCALAR=1.2

It may give you some more adjustment.

OK, I would suggest that you copy what I have posted and put it in and see if the settings I have

help your situation.  All of the numbers after the = sign can be increased or decreased to adjust the

lights.

alright thanks and could i please have your halo.bmp too? if you don't mind. I have REX 4 TD and those lights are too glossy

The lights scalars are not in the default cfg.  They need to be added.

Thanks for the tip mate, you mind giving me your halo.bmp?

Not sure my halo.bmp would be of any help.  As far as I can remember, I am using the default (if that was not the case, I would have a backup on my system).
