I am wondering if I should be hearing the engine sound from AI aircraft - assuming the aircraft has a sound.cfg alaised to a default aircrafts sound file - if I am parked with my engines off just watching AI movement at an airport.I think I am hearing this, but I have to turn up my volume quite high. If indeed I should be able to hear engines sounds from AI, is there a setting I can change so I don't need to turn up the volume so much?Any ideas appreciated.David "Opa Marshall

Hi,Go to Options/Settings/Sound and turn up the Environment slider up all the way.BTW, the sound aliased in the sound.cfg file for that aircraft is not used when it is an AI aircraft - the generic sound files used are in the main FS SOUND folder.I delete the sound and panel folders from any aircraft that is AI-only - improves frame rates and reduces stutters.Hope this helps,--Tom GibsonCal Classic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.comFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.comDrop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___

I cranked up the "wav's" of the AI sounds so you can actually hear them...Mine are pretty loud now, if I'm up next to the other plane...Also, you can hear them insidethe cockpit when they are landing , and you are at the holdshort line...Also near mid air touchups....I can hear em, if theyget real close...The stock wav files are too quiet...You can manually edit and increase the volume of all those files yourself,using sound recorder. Ok - found the ones with the AI begining. Just one more question - can you explain a little better what you mean when you say "exterior" versions?Yhanks for all your help.

Try this one --> aisounds_project-02.zipIt's the best I've heard. It just replaces the ai_lgejet.wav etc files. Superb!
