December 4, 201411 yr What is the offical gouge on buffer pools? Not needed? Makes no difference? Hardware dependent? Some seem to think it made a huge improvement for them but that was back in the summer when we had version 2.2. Drink locally, Fly Globally.

December 5, 201411 yr Moderator Doesn't make any difference what the "official" word is - we simmers tend to make our own decisions. LM has stated that HIGHMEMFIX is NOT needed and is incorporated into the CFG, yet I still read of users that swear that putting it in the cfg file solved their problems. If *you* think that bufferpools makes a difference in your system - use it - otherwise don't. Asking others won't help because you'll get a bunch that can't live without it and others that will tell you that LM said it doesn't matter.Seems like a no brainer to me. Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
