December 9, 201411 yr Anyone know the purposes of these switches below the GPS unit? EDIT: Did some Googleing and evidently the TKS switch is for the anti-ice system and the GND CLEAR stands for ground clearance and allows you to turn on the COM1 radio without having to fire up the whole avionics bus. BTW, the GND CLEAR isn't functional it seems and probably not the TKS either. Steve Steve Corzine
April 20, 201511 yr Thanks for the explanation. That's been bugging me for awhile, too! Too bad the don't seem to be modeled, though.
November 6, 20169 yr Hmmmm, thanks for the information. But by my flight, at FL080 I lost almost all my engine power. I gues by icing in the engine/carburator. When I puched the button 'switch tks' from 'norm' towards 'max', my engine had almost immediately a boost in power, and could continue my flight furtere at normal power. Probably will that 'switch tks' -button work on the correct way on the right moment. Only my experience. Kind Regards,
