Terrible Framerates at Jefferson County

Featured Replies

Hi all.

With the recent sale at FlightSimStore.com, I bought several more ORBX PNW packages, all of which looked great.

KORS is fantastic and as good on framerates as 3W5 and 1S2, but it seems like Harvey Field and Jefferson County just destroy my framerates. I'm seeing as low as 8-12 FPS, even with a high-end system that runs the rest of the PNW region airports perfectly.

Jefferson is exceptionally bad; even though the airport is very simple and even after turning off some of the extra "eye candy," flying within a ten mile radius of it is like watching a slideshow.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any ideas what it could be?

Thanks, and happy flying!

Harvey is tough on my system (described in my profile), in the mid 20s if I recall.  I don't have Jefferson, though, I've been thinking about getting it...but not if the performance is that bad.

Some Orbx airpots the grass is what tanks my frames.

Exactly! The 3D grass is a tad much, and clearly it's not friendly to frames. I'll try turning that off and see if it does anything.
