AI Smooth V1.0 in the library!

Featured Replies

aismooth_v100.zipAn amazing freeware program, requires FSUIPC but it does away with most go-arounds, a fantastic program!

Agreed. I use this in combination with Ken Salter's taxi speed fix and Lee Swordy's AFCAD editor (to tweak the airport's runway and taxiway operations as necessary). As a result, I get amazingly smooth running and "smart" AI traffic at even the busiest airports, something I have always wanted since AI traffic first appeared in Microsoft FS. I would like to thank all the authors for providing these extremely useful utilities as freeware.

Question, the program has to be running in the background minimized right? I would asume so.Thanks,Bill

Yes, AISmooth must run in the background if you want it controlling the AI. When I used to run the beta versions of AISmooth on one machine (an AMD 64, 3200+), I never really noticed a framerate hit but mileage might have varied with a different setup. Recently however, I moved AISmooth over to a second computer where I run the program via a WideFS network connection.

Just wanted to get people to download the great file since it was posted in the library here yesterday

One common reason for receiving a go-around ATC instruction -- at least with Radar Contact -- while on final (real aicraft, not AI) is that an AI arcraft has taxied onto the runway in violation of holding instructions. Does AISmooth deal with this situation?Sandy
