Will It Run

Featured Replies

Hello all!

I am new here. Looking to get further into the sim. With Aerosoft's Christmas sale, I am contemplating the 777.  I do not have a "great" rig, but in the iFly NG for FSX I can pull 25-30 frames (which is acceptable to me) with FSRealWX weather.  Please don't be that one who tells me what I need to improve on my computer - I have a limited budget and cannot afford another fancy computer.  Just want opinions or experience on whether or not it will work.

Here are my stats:  (I am BootCamped to Win 7 Home Premium)

2013 MacBook Pro

2.9 gHz Dual-Core i7 (turbo to 3.3 gHz)

Intel HD 4000 graphics (This is what I'm worried about..  The processor always runs above 3.1 )

1Tb Solid State SSD

Looking for 20-25 frames in the VC in CAVOK.

Will it perform?

Hi Steve, full names please.  The minimum system specifications provided by PMDG on their product page are trustworthy. In particular: "Onboard motherboard or CPU video is not supported. Some of the newer Intel designs may work but we cannot guarantee compatibility." I googled your video and found opinions on both sides of the issue, you didn't mention how much RAM and if 4Gb or less this could be an issue because your video doesn't have VRAM.  Bottom line, it might work. Maybe someone out there in forum-land has experience with the Intel HD 4000.

8GB RAM. The only reason I ask is because of what they said. May. Thanks for the response
