  1. Anybody know the actual location where the sim stores its navdata? Like the raw data files? I do navdata as a day job - would like to poke around in Asobo/NavBlue's data files and add some approaches.
  2. Downloaded MSFS. It's truly a beautiful sim in all the ways FSX never was. I'm looking at components now for a new build. This will be my first, and I'm approaching it with enough budget to go a little overboard. I don't play anything else so this will be 100% a flight sim rig, and I'd like to optimize it for that. Has MSFS fixed the Intel preference that FSX always had? It may not have been true in all cases, but everyone I knew who built for FSX always said that AMD's chips just don't run as well as Intel. Given the price/performance of the Ryzens now, though, I'd 100% go that route if both will perform equally well. Here's what I have so far on the parts list.. AMD Ryzen 9 3900X CPU Gigabit Aorus Elite Motherboard EVGA RTX 2080ti GPU (debating going the twin GPU route eventually..) 2x 1TB internal SSDs Noctua NHD-15 Cooler 2x 27" 4K displays (haven't really shopped yet) For all of you in the know, are there any glaring issues with this setup? I'd like to wait out the 3080-series cards but at this point, I'm just ready to commit to something and get back in the virtual skies. Upgrades can come later....
  3. WXR is no doubt a great thing. But some of us simply cannot afford ASN on top of $100 full pack for the NGX and another $120 for the T7... Or cannot handle it systems-wise. It'd be very nice to see some visual changes that we all can enjoy such as Splits (becoming more common IRL as well)
  4. The real thing I want to know - will we get Split Scimitars yet? Or is that like a SP2 thing?

    No VC

Done. The kicker is that it only happens after programming the FMS... And it happens every time I load up the flight, but only after the FMS is programmed and EXEC is pressed. Any stage up to that point shows no external model issues. As soon as I execute the FMS, the external model totally disappears.

I have the autogen down the whole way... And the AI turned way down as well. I don't use addon scenerys or photorealistic scenery either. So besides ACARS (outside) there is nothing special. Just vanilla FSX with the T7. I've heard that VAS is mostly hit by those things, so I turned them off and down. I have 8GB RAM, and while I understand FSX can only use half of that, it's perplexing to me why JUST the T7 would cause high enough VAS to skeleton. The virtual cockpit still works perfectly fine, and I can still see the plane just fine from top down. Any of the other external views show a skeleton

Howdy. After 20-ish long haul hours wih no flaw, the T7 seems to be bugging out. After the FMS is programmed, the exterior views become skeleton. All I see is pax windows and the engine fan. After I exit the current sim, I load up in a default a/c then back in the T7. My view is entirely black but the click spots are still there. I can switch views, but they're all black. Never had this issue before. Anyone know? I do have highmemfix as well as the automation core installed per the manual. Thanks
  8. I think I've decided.. Yall just make my wallet tempt me. I'm gonna pull the trigger on the MD and the 777 in T-1hr. Cannot wait. From what I gather, all that may have to happen is the sliders being turned down a little bit for the 777. Fine with that as long as I can actually fly like it was intended. Thanks and I will post back with first impressions I think I've decided.. Yall just make my wallet tempt me. I'm gonna pull the trigger on the MD and the 777 in T-1hr. Cannot wait. 9. 64-bit yes. VRAM no. AFAIK the integrated GPUs don't have dedicated VRam
  10. Bottom line - will it run? I can run the AXE and the iFly at 15 fps. No addons besides the planes
  11. I use none of the above. Just aircraft I've also heard good things about the MD/11. What would yall recommend between the two? MD-11 or 777 both look comparable. Which would yall recommend?
  12. I use no addons. No wx, no scenery, no textures. Just WoAI packs. My focus is on simming not eyecandy. Think it'll be ok? From what I've heard VAS is most hit by textures and scenerys and photorealistic scenery.
  13. Thanks for the reply. My main thing is that my primary aircraft is the iFly FSX or Aerosoft's Airbus. I do own the NGX, but it was a purposeful copy for review that is not currently installed. That being said, I average about 15 in both of those aircraft.
  14. But as far as usability.. I'm fine with my iFly framerates. Would the T7 be bankably similar (worth the $80 gamble if it doesn't?) Hate to buy something that expensive and have it fail on me. I'm not huge on the MD's style of FMS either from reviews
  15. Howdy all, I'm looking for a new addon. Decided on PMDG for sure - not sure which one. I have the iFly NG as well as the NGX.. And average 15 frames in each. This is acceptable for me given my rig 2013 MacBook Pro 2.9 GhZ i7 Haswell (usually runs around 3.3 with Turbo) 8GB RAM Intel HD 4000 GPU (not great, I know. But this is a work issued machine and I simply cannot afford $1500+ to build a new rig) 1TB SSD My only reservation with the T7 is graphics. From what I've gathered it will probably work similar to the iFly. Any opinions? I need something that will be a long-hauler (occasionally set-and-forget). What say you all?
